Connecticut must remain a place where families and businesses thrive. Janet supports investments in transportation, infrastructure, and innovation to attract talent and grow the state’s economy.

Fiscal Responsibility

Janet believes in responsible budgeting and long-term fiscal sustainability. Our governor, Ned Lamont, has done a superb job reducing our unpaid pension liabilities and improving our credit rating. Janet will work to manage state obligations responsibly while protecting essential services.

Supporting Students and Families

Strong schools build strong communities. Janet will continue fighting for state investment in school facilities and programs that help students succeed, including ensuring that every child has access to nutritious meals and safe learning environments.

Smart Housing Solutions

Our district must maintain local control over land use while addressing housing needs responsibly. Janet supports balanced housing solutions that preserve neighborhoods, protect the environment, and expand opportunities for working families. She will advocate for reducing the costs of construction including licensing fees on the trades and support programs for apprentices to enter the workforce.

Protecting Health Care

Health care costs have skyrocketed. Janet will look for reforms to reduce costs by creating more transparency for consumers. Janet will work to protect reproductive freedom, defend patient privacy, and ensure access to safe and legal medical care for Connecticut residents.

Responsible Technology Policy

Artificial intelligence and emerging technologies bring opportunity—but also risks. Janet supports responsible regulation to prevent misinformation, protect privacy, and ensure technology strengthens—not undermines—our democracy.

Safer Communities

Janet supports common-sense gun safety laws that keep dangerous weapons out of the wrong hands while protecting responsible ownership. She believes Connecticut must continue leading the nation in policies that reduce violence and protect our communities.

Protecting Our Environment

Clean air, clean water, and open spaces are central to the quality of life we cherish. Janet supports conservation, clean energy investment, and policies that protect our environment for future generations.
